Pink Lady’s Slipper (Cypripedium acule)

These are gorgeous native plants in the orchid family. DH put the little frame around them when they sprouted so we wouldn’t inadvertently step on them.

Thanks for posting this photo, Conni. What beauties. It reminds me of the first time I came across lady slippers in the woods. I could hardly believe my eyes.

You're welcome, Elizabeth. I had a similar reaction when I first saw them when we moved here. They are very exotic-looking...
