TAST: Chevron Stitches

I had to try a few beaded Chevron stitches…


And here is a little more work on my beaded Cretan stitch sampler, although the last row looks a bit herringbone-esque…not sure where I went wrong…

How did you get these so neat? I tried to do this with cretan stitch and the stitches sort of collapsed and wobbled and I gave up. Maybe I just need to keep practising?
(And I agree with Kay Susan re your nature drawings. They really are super.)

Alice, thanks for your nice comment about my drawings.

To keep the Cretan stitches uniform, you have to make sure to re-enter the previous three stitches and pull them perpendicular to your stitching line, then anchor them down before continuing. Hope this helps. Embeadering is kinda fun!
