And here is a little more work on my beaded Cretan stitch sampler, although the last row looks a bit herringbone-esque…not sure where I went wrong…

How did you get these so neat? I tried to do this with cretan stitch and the stitches sort of collapsed and wobbled and I gave up. Maybe I just need to keep practising? (And I agree with Kay Susan re your nature drawings. They really are super.)

To keep the Cretan stitches uniform, you have to make sure to re-enter the previous three stitches and pull them perpendicular to your stitching line, then anchor them down before continuing. Hope this helps. Embeadering is kinda fun!
