Kay, you're right. My worms do look like woodlice! We have them all around the foundation of our house. They used to creep me out until I read (a few years ago)their closest relatives are crabs and lobsters.
I need to stop stitching and finish my Christmas shopping!
When I was a teenager, hemp bracelets were all the rage at my school. My mother informed me that we were basically doing macrame. And, I have to say that those worms do, indeed, look like something I would have made back then (probably with less wear and tear on the hands, though... hemp is not a gentle fiber!).

Lovely! Those 'worms' look to me more like woodlice - do you have those?
This is verra nice! You are really mixing it up well. I haven't done a thing on the last weeks lesson... bummer. After Christmas maybe!
Thanks Kay and Marty.

You are doing some lovely pieces, Conni. Your last Santa is wonderful, too.
Thanks, Micki!

Macrame had a revival in the late 60s - early 70s. I was still in high school! So now you know I'm just an aging hippie...
