Another Lesson Three Postcard in Progress…

I took a leap (of faith!) off the Aida cloth and onto some wool felt to play with curves and chain stitches. This is by no means finished but I was so darned tickled with the crested chain stitch (my new favorite stitch, although I’m not certain I’m doing it correctly) that I thought I’d post my progress thus far…

Connie I really think this is excellent. Loads of movement, lots of texture and the colours really sing. I find I'm having to think hard about this lesson!

Conni, I love the colors in the treads. They really shine like jewels against the felt. It looks like a great experience with the new ground.

Gorgeous! I'm having trouble sourcing wool felt - did you felt this yourself?

Thanks for your nice comments, Kay Susan, Elizabeth and Alice!

Kay, you are my inspiration!

Elizabeth, the wool felt is a dream to work with...

Alice, I found a few bolts of 100% wool felt with the regular craft felt at JoAnn's.

This postcard looks really interesting. I'm eager to see what you do with this next.
