This is the first time we ever saw wild turkeys in the backyard. They seemed pretty oblivious to being watched. Years ago, when we were really struggling to make ends meet, DH was offered a lucrative photography assignment at a turkey processing plant. As an ethical vegetarian, he couldn’t accept the job… That’s one of the reasons why I love him so much!

We were vegetarians for 25 years, before we moved to Charlestown. Now we eat fish and seafood, as there is no other way to get enough protein with the meals from our dining services. But at least several times a week, we eat vegetarian.
Two of our grandchildren are confirmed vegans, so I can cook vegan, too. Very good food.
And Ernie was a bird-watcher and photographer.
Such pretty birds! We eat everything, but the vegetarian lifestyle, I have always thought I would like to try. I have to many men in the family who will not let me try that at this time. loved the photo! blessings,Kathleen
So what are they doing in California? Isn't that where you are?
I, too, appreciate my DH's high moral ethics. They give us strength, don't they? Nice pic!
