For the heart, again I “fused” the basic shape to the felt with the embellisher and added beaded buttonhole stitches. I used a single strand of DMC embroidery floss, doubled, for the beading. I found the directions for beaded buttonhole stitches in this PDF file on making a cute beaded and embroidered evening bag.

I really love that leaf. And thank you for posting the beading how-to. It looks easy when you know how!
Thanks, Kay Susan. Yes, the beading looks easy, but I would have never figured it out without the instructions. It seems counterintuitive to add the beads before taking each stitch instead of after.
Swoon! Those leaves are beautiful..... I don't dare look at the beads, as I'm still mastering the stitches, but what a pleasure to see your work.
I love this heart! The leaves are pretty cool but I love the technique of the beads on the edging of the heart. Thanks for the tutorial!
Thanks, Elizabeth and Marty!
The leaves are lovely, I haven't done anything like that with my embellisher yet. Thanks for the PDF tutorial.
Catching up reading your blog. You have done some amazing work. Love the stuff with the embellisher. Your TAST samples are great.
Thanks so much for your kind comments, Margaret and Micki!
